Testimonials:

OUR HONEYMOON DELIGHT! Nature's Paradise was the highlight of our honeymoon in St. Lucia; it far exceeded our expectations. If you like escaping everybody else, enjoy local food and adventure it will be your kind of place. It was definitely our kind of place . . . the bungalows were clean and very spacious, and the breakfasts were brilliant (fresh brewed coffee, banana bread, and all sorts of fruits—try timing your holiday to get these in season). Dave and Wanda pointed us in the right direction for adventure (lots to do—sailing / snorkeling / kayaking / treks to waterfalls). They were extremely helpful and hospitable hosts. The swimming pool, Wanda's "tropical gardens," and amazing views to compete with the Pitons meant it was easy to spend days just lazing around drinking rum punches. Best piece of advice if staying here is rent a jeep—you'll need it for the exciting drive up to the bungalow, and it is then easy to explore St. Lucia 's sights.

- Tom + Ella Sharman, London , UK MY WIFE AND I REALLY LOVE THIS PLACE!

Nature's Paradise is a bed and breakfast located high on the southern hill of Marigot Bay . The 2 guest cottages overlook the sea and provide a magnificent view of the Caribbean Sea. The owners, Dave and Wanda, are 2 of the friendliest, funny, and interesting people we have ever had the fortune of meeting. Our stay at Windjammer Landing Villa Resort for our last 3 days was nice, but it did not match the beauty, tranquility, and excitement we experienced at Nature's Paradise . The cottages are spacious for 2 people, clean, and include a kitchen with stove, oven, and a large refrigerator. Each cottage has a large shaded porch were one can sit around relax and enjoy the view of the sea. We did have2 main concerns that were put to rest after our first night: lack of A/ C and biting insects. There is no ai- conditioning, but A/C junkies don't fret, it is not needed here. The coastal winds blow right through screens keeping the temperature moderately cool. There is also a large ceiling fan which provides an extra breeze. Because there are constant coastal breezes, there were also no mosquitoes or no-see-ums (we both got eaten alive at Windjammer, which is at a lower sea level).

A day at Nature's Paradise begins at 8 a.m. with Dave ringing the bell to announce breakfast is served. We spent over an hour each day enjoying the homemade bread (baked by Wanda), baguettes, homemade passion fruit juice, and the freshly picked mangos, papaya, and passion fruit. After breakfast, the day is yours for the taking. Dave offers his services for a variety of exciting activities ranging from nature hikes, tours, and sailing trips. We went on the Soufriere Adventure. This all day adventure included visits to Sulfur Springs (billed as the world's only drive-in volcano), the Diamond Falls Botanical garden the site of a once 300-year-old French plantation now plush with tropical plants and trees from all over the tropics, a close up view of the Pitons (a top world heritage site) from the Ladera Hotel, and finally a hike into the rainforest where we soaked in a pool of volcanic spring water.

When you do decide to visit Nature's Paradise or any establishment on Marigot Bay, it is suggested that you rent a car, preferably something 4-wheel drive. The drive up to Nature's Paradise is an adventure in itself.

We had an amazing, relaxing time in St. Lucia thanks to our stay with David and Wanda at Nature's Paradise . They were very welcoming, friendly and let us know all the local places that were good and not so good so we could make the best of our stay on the island.

We hired a car (essential) and virtually traveled the whole of the island visiting the local towns and villages and places of interest.

David and Wanda made our stay there very comfortable and relaxing—they spared no effort in providing anything we would need, and if we could, we would have stayed longer. They were available and on hand should we have had a problem in any way but also gave us plenty of time to ourselves to explore the island and also just to chill by the pool.

St. Lucia is a very, very relaxing place and the pace of life there took a couple of days (for me) to get used to. There are a number of interesting places to visit, beaches, towns and beautiful nature spots. Some of the beaches belong to resorts and cost a small fee to stay for the day;, however, the fee is very small and worth it for the view and ease of getting drinks and food from some of them. Service is always with a smile in St. Lucia. The local town of Anse Le Rey is to be recommended on Friday nights. The locals have a "Fish Friday" night where they set up stalls on the front and sell the local fresh fish and shellfish. I had a lobster, which was huge, very fresh, and tasty and remarkably cheap.

The atmosphere is one of fun and relaxation with people from all over the island coming to enjoy the night as well as the tourists and the town is very busy late into the night with music and rum flowing from the local bars and shacks.

We had a great time in St. Lucia , and if you choose to go there for your holiday or vacation I would truly recommend Nature's Paradise as your chosen location; after all, its the people that make the place and David and Wanda were great hosts.
